CHANGE A COMMUNITY is a holistic project working with the people of Ukerewe to improve facilities in the local hospital; improve hygiene and educational facilities in the local school; convert a disused building into a Hostel for pregnant women and improve awareness and prevention of malaria.

The project is currently entering its second phase with a second container of medical equipment being shipped from the UK in November 2010 and a group of 26 Rotary volunteers travelling to Ukerewe in February 2011.

• help 14-16 year olds to get vocational skills so that they can earn a living
